Hi, I’m Angie Obando!

I design experiences that make complex things easier to understand, use, and improve.

I’m a UX Designer with 6+ years of experience working across customer-facing products, design systems, accessibility, and process improvement.

My work sits at the intersection of people, systems, and strategy. I like taking complex problems—whether they involve energy, technology, accessibility, or internal processes—and turning them into experiences that feel clear, useful, and human.

At Exelon, I’ve worked on large-scale digital experiences serving millions of customers, including the EV customer experience, while also helping teams build more accessible and scalable ways of working. My role often goes beyond designing screens: I facilitate collaboration, connect research to decisions, support other designers, work closely with developers and business partners, and help turn ideas into something teams can actually build.

How I work

Start with the problem.

Designing with empathy at the core. Every product and system, customer-facing or internal, is shaped around real human needs, ensuring accessibility, usability, and meaningful experiences for all users.

A good experience is rarely just one screen. I look for patterns, dependencies, reusable components, and opportunities to make the experience—and the process behind it—more consistent.

Think in systems.

Accessibility isn't something I want teams to check at the end. I advocate for it throughout the design process, from structure and content to components and interaction decisions.

Make accessibility part of the design.

I enjoy making complex ideas easier to communicate. Whether I'm presenting to leadership, working with developers, or helping another designer get unstuck, I try to create clarity without creating unnecessary process.

Bring people along.

Also, I appreciated all the help and support she provides to the team! She is eager, curious, intuitive, smart and awesome. She thinks outside the box and a problem solver. I'm looking forward to work with her in the future, since she is definitely the successful part for any project and team.”
